ABOUT
Charlotta Eidenskog’s artistic practice consists of two parts: her own artistic work and assignments in the art and culture field as a project manager, curator and educator.
In Charlotta's artistic practice she works primarily with clay and ceramic objects. Often in relation to a room, sometimes in the form of installations. Charlotta uses clay as a building material and a tool for communication. She charges her works with what occupies her mind, using them to process, contemplate, and reflect.
Charlotta is interested in mental processes and human behaviour and in recent years her works have revolved around themes as transformation, anchoring, boundaries and limitations.
The themes are rarely prominent or obvious but sometimes reflected in the titles. Charlotta's works are mainly shown at exhibitions, but she has also begun to explore more performative working methods.
Drawing on her sculptural practice, she also creates unique everyday objects such as candle holders. They are primarily sold at Konsthantverkarna in Stockholm.
Charlotta lives in Gothenburg and her resume includes an MFA in Ceramic Art from HDK-Valand.
